Description of Work:
Talafofo Site: The construction of the shore revetment along Talofofo Bay protects Route 4 from erosian. The projects extends 650 lineal feet along the south abutment of the Route 4 bridge to the existing Gayloup Point and a maximum of 30 feet from the mean higher high water (MHHW) line for a total area of approximately 19,500 square feet. A total of 4,465 cubic yards of stone fill was placed below the MHHW line and 1,400 cubic yards of near shore materials was excavated from the beach area in order to construct the area.
Inarajan Bay Site: The construction of the shore revetment along Inarajan Bay protects Route 4 from erosian. The project extends 850 lineal feet along the south side of Inarajan Bay and a maximum of 45 feet from the mean higher high water (MHHW) line for a maximum fill area of approximately 38,250 square feet. A total of about 2,110 cubic yards of stone fill and about 400 cubic yards of compacted fill is laced below the MHHW line and about 150 cubic yards of near shore materials was excavated from the beach area for construction.
